Merry, Merry month of May (by Nanay Jo)

May is a month of fiesta in isla verde.
Every week each baranggay celebrates their own fiesta and the local people spend lavishly to celebrate their feast.




They kill their hogs, goats and chicken to serve for their families and visitors.  And the local gin served after the food.  You will go home drunk and full.

My 2 sons came and spent summer here at the resort. 

Boyboy came last May 18 and spent two days here.

He enjoyed swimming and snorkling with his cousin, Dieter and his nephew Bugoy.

When Budoy came last May 23, he had lots of fun.  He took a boat tour if the island, went snorlellling amongst the corals and fishes and enjoyed the relaxed feeling of this beautiful place.

They even found some of the rare Black Coral!

 
With Dieter, Budoy climbed to Liponpon.  Liponpon is the highest mountain in the island.  The people here told us  that it has 300 steps to reach the peak but Budoy, feels thousand of steps he climbed to reach the place. 

When they were about to leave the place he felt his knees were shaking.  It was a tiring day for Budoy and Dieter.

On his 3rd day, Budoy decided to try fishing .  On two hours in the sea, he caught 2 small fishes.

 But he is happy he learned how the local people catch fish.
